Touch Gold are represented with 3 runners at Meydan on Saturday, Speedy Move and Welford are joined by newcomer Majestic Thunder.

Majestic Thunder goes in the opener, a 7f maiden. This Dubawi gelding was a 80,000aed purchase at the Godolphin Racing in Dubai sale in September. His work has improved over the last couple of months, though the experience is certain to bring him on considerably. Tadhg O’Shea takes the ride.

Speedy Move and Welford are already regulars to Meydan and aim to build on solid campaigns so far. Speedy ran a blinder off his much higher turf mark 2 weeks ago and continues to look in great form. He’s run in some strong races so far this season and this 6f dirt contest arguably looks slightly weaker.

Welford has run a little flat on his last 2 starts over this C&D, so we reach for the blinkers here. So long as they have a positive effect then he should give his usual solid account despite having a wider draw this time.
