Touch Gold made it 2 wins in as many weeks as Au Coeur followed up the success of Welford, with victory at Jebel Ali.

The drop to 7f proved the key for Au Coeur as he ran out an impressive winner under Richie Mullen, duly recording his second career win at Jebel Ali.

Soon out the gates quickly, he led for the majority of the race and though favourite Trenchard put up a big challenge to him, Au Coeur’s terrific attitude was there for all to see as he powered up the hill to score by 4 lengths.

Au Coeur was a 45,000 aed purchase from the September 2017 Racing In Dubai sale and has proved an absolute bargain at that price, adding 57,000 aed in prize money with this success, taking his total Touch Gold earnings to over 157,000 aed.

A 7lb rise puts him up to a mark of 85, though there will be plenty of options for him to remain competitive, whilst he is yet to try Meydan dirt or turf, options we are keen to explore at some point.

Many congratulations to his hugely enthusiastic owners and thanks to Zabeel for having him in perfect shape on the day.
