It’s been a promising start for Au Coeur in his time with Touch Gold, and he bids to enhance it as he goes in the 9f handicap at Jebel Ali on Friday.

After an easy maiden win on his UAE debut, he finished a fine second when switched to handicaps last month, beating all bar the winner convincingly. With the form of both races having worked out well since, we’re confident of a big run today with the handicapper having kept him on the same mark to last time, as too does the market which has installed him as a short-priced favourite. Richie Mullen again takes the ride.

Carrying top weight isn’t ideal for one who isn’t the biggest, though he’s a horse who gives his absolute heart out, fitting given his name, and we’re sure that will be the case again. We wish his owners all the best today.
