A winner of 7 starts and having amassed over nearly £200,000 in prize money, Rodaini was a private purchase from previous connections in early 2020, bought as a ready-made carnival horse and to be campaigned predominantly as a dirt sprinter.
He is a previous carnival winner on the dirt but is just as good on turf too and has been competitive at Group level.
He made a promising start for Touch Gold when sixth in the hugely valuable Group 3 Mahab Al Shimaal at Meydan on Super Saturday, before the season was curtailed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
He had a small issue after his reappearance, but returned in style to win the Jebel Ali Classic over 7f in March, landing the valuable 250,000aed prize impressively by 3 1/4 lengths under Pat Cosgrave. That put his rating up to 106, allowing him a run into the Godolphin Mile on Dubai World Cup night 8 days later.
