Speedy Move returns to action at Meydan on Thursday, and goes into the unknown as he steps up to 1m for the first time.
This is a real fact-finding mission with Speedy, who has twice run respectably already this season, but we feel he’s worth a try at this new distance.
The suspicion is he won’t stay, though he has a low draw in stall 1 and it could open up more options for the horse if he is able to see it out.
He’s also up against some quality opposition, a couple who clearly have Carnival aspirations, so we’re under no illusions that this is a tough task. However he virtually always gives a good account of himself and fingers crossed he can do the same again.
